Booklets, intended to provide guidance and assistance with the process of decommissioning redundant boreholes and wells, whilst ensuring effective groundwater protection, have been produced by the Environment Agency for England and Wales and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency. The guides also include suggestions for a number of best practice options.
